Oxford Housing Authority
About Us

Oxford Housing Authority was organized in the late 1960s with the construction of the first multifamily housing complex in Oxford (see History). The Authority has grown from those original 100 units to 312 units of rental housing scattered over 5 sites throughout the City. The Mayor, Board of Aldermen and citizens of Oxford strongly support the Oxford Housing Authority and the families we so proudly serve.

As the City's slogan states, Oxford really is A Nice Place To Live. With a City population of about 11,000, Oxford is home to the University of Mississippi, which allows our citizens access to many cultural and educational opportunities. The City's school system is among the very best in the State of Mississippi with a Level 5 rating. The unemployment rate in Lafayette County has been the lowest in the State for many years. Having been named by numerous magazines and surveys as one of the top retirement sites in the nation, Oxford has many amenities, organizations and opportunities that enrich the lives of its citizenry.

Oxford Housing Authority and the City of Oxford, Mississippi . . . truly Nice Places to Live.
